Classic Photo Booths provide photo booth hire services in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch (Canterbury) and West Coast regions and are the largest photo booth operator in New Zealand. With multiple photo booths available we an also cater for last minute bookings.

Classic Photo Booth Booth Hire
Our most popular photo booth, the Classic Photo Booth is tall and black and comes fully enclosed with black privacy curtains.
Or leave the curtains and rails off and have an open booth and use with your choice of backdrop.
The booth can hold 2-6 people comfortably – more can fit by squeezing in or we can open or remove the curtains to fit more in the shot.
This booth can be configured as sit-down or stand-up and requires 1.5m x 2.0m of floor space.
Mini Photo Booth Hire
The compact design and small footprint of our Mini Photo Booth lets it go places larger booths can’t. It’s an open-air, fully featured photobooth, especially suited for use at events with limited space.
It’s the smallest of size but still delivers the best quality images with a stylish backdrop. Configure as sit-down or stand-up, requires 1.5m x 1.5m of floor space.

Vintage Photo Booth Hire
Our Vintage Photo Booth set-up includes a stylish wooden camera box, wooden tripod, and black backdrop.
Posh red velvet ropes are available to help with the effect.
We top off our Vintage booth with a fantastic selection of vintage props. This extravagant set-up will add a touch of class to any do. This booth can be configured as stand-up and requires 2m x 3m of floor space.
Digital Selfie Station
Our digital selfie station is great for parties or brand activations – designed for social sharing, take great photos and let your guests share. You still get an online gallery after the event of all the photos, which you can share, download and print yourself.
VW Kombi Photo Booth Hire – ChCh
Vintage meets modern in our photo booth experience featuring Bazil, our 1964 VW Kombi Photo Booth. Bazil is equipped with a high-end digital SLR camera, lighting and super-fast printer. Lovingly restored, Bazil is New Zealand’s only Kombi Booth licenced to carry passengers. (Available Canterbury region only)

Photo Booth Add-Ons & Inclusions
All our photo booth hire packages include a trunk of super stylish and handmade funky props. We can also custom make or source a range of props to suit the theme of your event. Our photo booth props include classics like moustaches, lips, hats and glasses plus we’ve got old school cameras, wooden tennis racquets, retro dial telephones and much more!
Our props are an awesome addition for weddings, birthdays, group photo shoots, costumes parties, bridal party pics and much more! We can add your own text/names/logos to our shapes or create something new especially for your event.
Custom Photo Strip Templates
Here at Classic Photo Booths we offer you several layout options to choose from. We can customise your photo strip template for FREE any way you choose. You can select from a variety of super cool 4-photo, 3-photo, or 1-photo layouts. We don’t plaster our company name and logo all over your template design or charge you extra to remove it.
We can customise our templates any way you choose. And depending on the layout you choose, we can also support the integration of scannable redemption barcodes and voucher codes.
Live Instagram Printer
Shoot It, Tag it, Print it with our live Instagram hashtag Printer. Pick a unique hashtag, select the photos you like and print them out at our Printer Station. Your guests do the work of taking the pictures – you benefit from awesome user generated photos!
The Instagram Printer can be hired separately, or added on to one of our standard photo booth hire packages.
Handmade Photo Books
All of our vintage photo booth packages include a handmade photo book on the day, we highly recommend this as guests get to leave you a personal message with their selected photo booth strip. Unlike the official photos which can take several weeks to see, this book is passed to you on the day. Photo books can be added to any standard Classic Photo Booth hire, just leave it to us and we’ll get the memento happening.
Event Data Capture
Live data capture! Using our photo sharing software or stand-alone app we have the ability to capture names, email addresses and telephone numbers via our iPads. Forget paper based systems, the iPads are fast and incredibly easy to use, great for running competitions and sign-up forms.
This is a great addition for corporate parties and events.
With our optional Upload Stations guests can instantly share their prints via SMS, Email, Facebook and Twitter, all in real time. Photo sharing happens on a separate external touch screen so there’s no slowing down the photo booth fun. We also support live publishing to Facebook.

Green Screen Booths
Our green screen technology allows us to take photos of your guests and input them into any scenario imaginable. Using a variety of different layers we can create bespoke images incorporating backgrounds, props and template overlays. The options are endless.
All our photo booth hire packages include traditional black curtains. They can also operate with the latest green screen technology, a natural background incorporating what is behind the participants such as your own scene/backdrop or we can source or manufacture a bespoke backdrop for you. Social Media Production – Mediacam
Our MediaCam Producers will take professional photos and video and make live social media updates as your event unfolds for people who cannot be there. Using the latest iPad and/or DSLR technology, our roaming producer will take branded photos of the crowd and enable instant sharing to Email and social media.
If you have an official photographer at your event, our MediaCam producer won’t get in the way, and you’ll receive an album of beautifully designed hashtag photos to enjoy after the event.
Space & Power Requirements
Our photo booths can operate just about anywhere and can be powered by a standard 3-pin electrical outlet or portable generator. The minimum recommended floor area required for setup and operation of our portable Classic Photo Booth is approximately 1.5m x 2m, Mini Photo Booth 1.5m x 1.5m, and our Vintage Photo Booth at 2m x 3m.
Classic Photo Booths are covered to operate on location by public liability insurance for an amount not less than $2,000,000 (two million dollars), proof of this cover can be produced if requested.

Classic Photo Booths offer Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and the West Coast regional photo booth hire with free travel within 20 km (40 km round trip) of the Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Greymouth CBD. Travel outside of these areas by arrangement, please contact us now for a travel quote.
